I recently spent a week at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach which turned out to be one of my most enjoyable vacations ever. The resort was absolutely beautiful, however the highlight of the trip was meeting and working with golf instructor, Rob Reinhorn. I have been a 4 to 6 handicap golfer, but in the last two years have developed a pull hook that has resulted in my handicap going to 10. I am a member of 2 prestigious golf clubs on the east coast and have been working with their pros for the last few years. They have not been able to correctly diagnose my problem. After one lesson with Rob, I understod why I was pulling the ball and how to correct it. My game is now back to it's prior state. I just shot a 75 on a par 73. I am having fun and I have someone to call when things go wrong. His technology allows me to be on the east coast and get a lesson from him on the west coast via the internet. However, I will continue to make trips back to Laguna for more one on one lessons with Rob.

I have been immersed in the game for many years, and have had the good fortune to both socialize and walk the greens with many PGA Tour Pros, as well as former PGA Presidents. Not one of these people has made the impression on me that Rob has! He is a skilled, proficient, professional golf instructor and a remarkable human being! His finely tuned knowledge of the swing, vast knowledge of biomechanics and movement, and deep understanding of human nature, paired with his patient and gentle personality, create a relaxed atmosphere for students to absorb his easy teachings. I am always impressed by Rob as a teacher and as a person and I will continue to recommend him to friends and colleaques.

I have tried many top golf instructors in the country and have a wide perspective on evaluating a golf pro. I have worked with you for over 30 years and I know that you know the golf swing and the game as well as anyone teaching today. You have the amazing ability to take a difficult topic and make it simple and fun. I am a scratch golfer and you can look at my swing and know at once what I’m doing wrong and how to correct it. Your internet video technology is amazing and allows me to live in Florida, send a video of my swing to you in California and receive analysis and lessons as if you were standing right next to me. The newspaper article that described you as Orange County's finest golf instructor was an understatement.

I had been invited to play in the Tiger Woods golf tournament in Las Vegas, the Tigerjam, and I had never played golf before. I called Rob and explained that I had one week, exactly 7 days to learn how to play golf so I could play in the tournament. He didn't hang up on me, nor did he scream, yell, gnash his teeth or ask me if I was crazy. We started the next day and over the course of the next week I took about four lessons and practiced in between. Amazingly, Rob was able to bring me along well enough to not only play in the tournament without embarrassment, but I even got on the green from the tee box on two holes! Everyone wanted to know about the teacher who could accomplish that. I have to say Rob is an awesome instructor, a born teacher, amazingly patient, and positive, and encouraging, and so incredibly knowledgeable about his craft. His combined use of technology and personalized, customized instruction has been remarkably effective. If he sees an explanation doesn't seem to make sense or work for me, he'll try another. This is very helpful in feeling the right body mechanics, in a sport where 'right' feels sometimes 'wrong'. People who know me well are amazed that I've had the patience to learn golf at all, and even more amazed that I've found someone with the patience to teach me. I am excited and having fun learning this game! I plan to be a long time student of Rob's and have arranged for several friends to start taking lessons also.

 Results speak volumes. I play bogie golf. I took one lesson from Rob and played nine holes right after the lesson. I was one under par after 7 and finished one over par! I am so excited!!! I look forward to practicing and ingraining Rob's lesson into my swing!

I had the best experience with Rob. His ability to coach and communicate is awesome. His knowledge of the game of golf is revealed when he customizes his approach to each individual and the result is phenominal. I am truely impressed with his patience, knowledge, guidance, and state of the art equipment. You get to visualize yourself as a professional and see your own progress in the making during the lesson. I am a true believer in Rob's abilities to turn an average golfer into a competitive athelete.

My friend and I have taken several lessions from Rob. He is a very low-key, soft-spoken man with plenty of patience. Rob works on your swing, one step at a time so you are not overloaded with information. You practice that correction until it becomes automatic, and then move on to the next. My friend and I are at different experience levels and he worked beautifully with both of us. Rob is a great instructor and you come away from your lession feeling confident, not frustrated.

I can't give Rob enough praise both as an individual and as a teacher. His knowledge, patience and genuine caring for both the game and the people he works with are qualities that few 'teacher's possess. He has the ability to read people and communicate with them on a level that they understand. Rob truly loves the game and his enthusiasm is infectious! My husband and I have both taken lessons from Rob. Just can't say enough about him. He is a very thoughtful instructor and really takes the time to figure out the needs of the individual golfer he is teaching. If he sees in your eyes (or your swing) that you don't understand what he is saying, he figures out a different way to communicate the point. He will figure out which drill works best for you and customizes it to specifically fit you. He is totally professional and a really nice guy, too.

I have taken lessons from many of the world's best teachers including Jim Flick, David Leadbetter, and Jim McLean. Rob is more amazing than all of them. As a result, he got me down from a 12 to a 4 handicap in one year. He also knows the mental side of golf as well. I recommend him highly.

You are the man. Your lessons were so good they have become permanently ingrained in my game. I hadn't played for over 2 months, got off to a rocky start, but just went back to the basics you taught me and the drills and bam, I just shot the best 9 of my life. Man this is fun!

I am a resident of Laguna Beach, and have recently taken golf lessons from Rob at Aliso Creek. Before I started my lessons with Rob, I was skeptical that I could become re-interested in the game of Golf, as it had been 7 years since I picked up my clubs! Not only did Rob get me interested in the game again, he taught me new skills which allowed me to start playing the game immediately, and as a result, I am thoroughly enjoying the game again. I have been priviledged to find Rob as a golf instructor. I have been taking lessons for a few months now and am amazed at my progress. It is all due to the inventive, intuitive ability of Rob. He not only can see how my body and swing works but has that rare ability to verbalize his instructions and guide me to constantly improve. I have already developed a swing that has amazed some of my fellow golfers, even my son and ex-husband and that is a "real biggy!" I had an unshakable case of the shanks and I was about to play in the 3 day Balboa Golf Tournament at Big Canyon Country Club. Nothing I tried helped and the frustration level continued to increase. I went to Rob for a lesson and was instantly cured. He showed me the cause of my shanks and how to easily correct it. Now I could go to the tournament confident that if a shank appeared I could fix it. Well...I played all 3 days without one shank and we ended up winning the tournament!!! Much thanks to you Rob! Several weeks ago, I took a lesson from Glen Deck (a top 100 instructor in the U.S.) at Pelican Hills golf school and was very impressed with Glen. A few weeks later I took my first lesson with Rob and the results from the lesson with Rob were dramatic! I got so much more out of my lesson with Rob. Rob is without a doubt the best instructor I've ever worked with. I can't express how excited I am about my game and the improvements I have made. I am hitting every club significantly farther and straighter. This is fun! Thanks Rob!!
